To prevent any floor markings or scratches you can consider the following:

  • Putting a non-slip rug or runner underneath the furniture.

  • Sticking furniture pads on the underside of the feet. You can view our furniture pads here.

To open the sofabed, use the following steps:

  1. Remove the seat cushions and place in a safe area.
  2. Raise the bedspring by gripping the centre handle and pulling outwards.
  3. Grip the first supporting bar at the centre of the bar.
  4. Raise and pull down the bar until it touches the floor.
  5. Grip the second supporting bar at the centre of the bar.
  6. Raise and pull down the bar until it touches the floor.

To close the sofabed, use the following steps:

  1. Raise and pull the first supporting bar up onto the main unit.
  2. Raise and pull the second supporting bar up onto the main unit.
  3. Grip the centre handle and move the bedspring inwards into the unit.
  4. Replace the seat cushions back onto the sofa.

Accidental Spillages

  • Always tip liquid spillages from the surface of the fabric.
  • Blot excess liquid with tissues or toilet roll.
  • Sponge the area if necessary but do not over wet the fabric.
  • Damp a complete panel to avoid markings.
  • Do not rub or scrub as this may result in stains.

General dirt and stains

  • Use a clean damp cloth and avoid harsh abrasives.
  • Do not use hot water.

Grease or oil based stains

  • Use a propriety spot cleaner working from the edge of the stain inwards to avoid spreading.

Water based stains

  • Use a specialist upholstery cleaner/shampoo.
  • Dab gently from the outer edge.
  • Damp out any cleaner with warm water.

Note: DO NOT SOAK THE FABRIC.

During the first three months of use the polyurethane foam padding used in the seats tends to become softer and then finally stabilizes itself. This process is absolutely natural as when pressure is applied on the seating the micro-cells that comprise the polyurethane break down. This process is perfectly normal for this kind of material and produces a slight softening effect. As above, it is absolutely normal that the softness of a seat / back padding is found to be different from the one adjacent, depending on its usage. Light creases may form on the covering due to the setting of the padding, which are to be considered absolutely normal and depend on the settling of the material.

  • Keep a minimum distance of 20-30cm between the furniture and any heat source.
  • Avoid exposing the sofa to direct sunlight or to powerful lamps to avoid in the fabric fading.
  • Vacuum or use a soft brush weekly.
  • Do not move the sofa by pushing or pulling on the arms.
  • Do not use excessive force such as jumping on the unit.
  • Avoid sitting on the edges and arms as it can lead to distortion.
